	Real Education in the 21st Century – A Crusade for Honesty and Integrity
	Today's world is not what it was in the 20th century. Youth have a different set of problems to face, and to handle them they need a new type of education. At Astra Academy we recognize it is our responsibility to create educational programs that will equip youth with the basics needed to be successful in achieving their goals in this new era. These tools are not just traditional academic tools but tools that help them to know and understand the make up of the world they will inherit. What are their freedoms, what can they do, where can they go. What goals do they want to achieve and what are the barriers that must be overcome. We need to supply them with the truth about the real world they are entering - The ability understand it, look at it and face it. To handle the world one must confront it and to confront it one must be in it and live it, and rub elbows with the common man. Our job is to create educational programs that give our youth the practical experience in organizing their lives which in turn gives them more willingness to execute their goals. The positive things in the world are created by individuals with individual ideas. And these ideas can be brought into existence through organization. Therefore organizational training is a vital key to our students willingness to succeed in their education. Anyone is a leader who is an executive leading an organization, meaning an executive within an organization. This means there are a great many leaders, in fact, everyone is a leader and will eventually get their turn to be an executive. One is a leader in their own family and a leader of one's own life. We need to educate our youth to find the leader within themselves and that is done through experience. This experience is not found in text books, but out in the real world practicing in an environment that is the correct gradient for them to win and gain confidence that leading can be done by them. Our job is to create educational programs that raise the abilities of our youth to be able to come to grips physically with the world they will face, day to day, and demonstrate the competence needed in handling the things they come in physical contact with in that world. This requires drilling in moving the game pieces of life, called the Physical Universe, to a point where there is no back off or flinching from it but instead good positive control. Education has something to do with honesty and integrity, as only by teaching our youth the truth will we maintain their trust be able to turn over our hats to them in a high condition. We must teach our youth to observe life, not keep them in a "bubble", a "comfort zone" or allow them to think only "in the box". Life is not a bubble or a box but is made up of agreed upon realities that can be understood. Understanding different realities is key in understanding others and handling life. Education is a huge responsibility and the entire future of the race depends on the education of our youth. It takes courage and strength to educate with integrity in today's world. To maintain integrity one must be willing to communicate the truth and an educator is one who has the courage to stand up to those seeking to shore up false realities. Religion has always had something to do with education. Culture and religion go hand in hand as spiritual awareness brings man into higher states of creativity. A culture is built on spiritual values such as honesty, trust, loyalty, kindness, fairness, dignity..., to name a few. These done with honor and integrity are key in building stability and understanding in human relationships. These values lacking in education are causing some major problems causing pain and suffering in peoples lives. Education has the responsibility in bringing religion into its ranks to create a cultured environment both in and out of school. Throughout any educational program there must be a line of spiritual awareness in order to bring true understanding to all things learned and begin a new era for human relations. Education is not a popularity contest or politics. It is not large buildings and pomposity. It is not a Sift-Sort System designed to sift through students and sort them by Standard Grading Evaluation into their Social Boxes for further processing after graduation. That method was devised by Psychs (in Leipzig, Germany) who decided for their own selfish ends that man is an animal to be prodded along like cattle to the slaughter house. We are not cattle but self determined Mavericks originating our own goals and dreams out of our own basic spiritual decency. Education is simple observation and application. Knowledge has no master - it is a basic building block of life. He who denies knowledge denies life. With knowledge one can increase the certainty, self-determinism and willingness needed to win at the game called life. Education is a preparation for a real game and it must be taught in the real world with the proper gradients of knowledge, responsibility and control. At Astra Sailing we teach real education in the real world. It's fun and relaxed and uptone and that's the way we win.
